mom: hi. did you just call me?
me: no. i'm at work. what's up?
mom: oh, my cell phone just rang and i thought you called me.
me: no, i'm at work. doing work.
mom: i thought maybe you were on a break.
me: nope. you mean my number came up on the caller ID?
mom: oh. you know i don't know how to work that stuff.
me: nope. it wasn't me. i gotta go.
mom: okay, i'll call your sister. maybe it was her.
